It all began in 1999 when employees of a large corporation launched a challenge to grow mustaches.
This idea was taken up in 2003 by an international charitable foundation to encourage men to grow mustaches in support of men’s cancer screening.
Movember was celebrated in France for the first time in 2007. Since then, numerous initiatives have been carried out across the country each year to raise awareness among all men.
